Vomiting is a common symptom to indicate many health issues like pregnancy, stomach gas, food poisoning, overeating, excess intake of alcohol and other stomach disorders. In the most cases, you don’t have to go to the specialists to treat vomiting. Home remedies for vomiting can immediately stop vomiting for the most part.

Lemon Juice

In case you have a feeling that you are going to vomit, then lemon juice can come to your rescue. Take one cup of water and add a few drops of lemon juice and half teaspoon sugar and a pinch of baking soda. Mix it properly and drink it. This will give you an immediate relief from vomiting. Else you can take lemon juice and mint juice in equal amount and add some ginger juice and honey to it. Mix it properly and have it. This is also a very effective home treatment for vomiting.

Ginger

Ginger is the best ingredient to cure the problem of vomiting. Ginger is good for your digestive system. So, when ginger is consumed it blocks up unnecessary secretion inside the stomach that can cause vomiting. When having the pre-signs of vomiting, just have some ginger tea with a little sugar. This will give you instant relief. You can also eat some fresh gingerbread or some fresh ginger slices with salt in case of vomiting.

Vinegar

At times even the smell of vomit can cause more vomiting. In such cases, you need to rinse your mouth with one teaspoon of vinegar diluted in half cup of water. Use this solution to rinse your mouth properly. This will freshen up your breath, too. During vomiting you can also use apple cider vinegar. Take one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and one tablespoon of honey and mix it in a glass of water. Drink it twice daily.

Mint

To get relief from vomiting, you can also try mint tea. To make mint tea, take one tablespoon of dried mint leaves and add it to a cup of boiling water. Steep it for half an hour, strain it and your tea is ready. You can chew the mint leaves used for making the tea. If fresh mint leaves are available, you can even chew them to cure vomiting. You can make another mixture with one teaspoon mint juice, one teaspoon limejuice, half teaspoon ginger juice and one teaspoon honey. Mix all the ingredients together and drink it to prevent vomiting.

Onion

Onion juice can also be used to stop the feeling of nausea and vomiting. Take one teaspoon of onion juice and mix it with one teaspoon of grated ginger. Take this mixture at regular intervals to cure vomiting. Else you can drink some onion juice followed by a cup of cold peppermint tea. The unique combination of onion juice and peppermint will give relief to the stomach and soon vomiting will stop.

Clove

To stop vomiting, the simplest home remedy is to chew some raw cloves properly. Cloves have antiseptic and anesthetic properties that help in digestion and can also cure vomiting. You can use a few cloves to make a nice cup of tea to treat vomiting. Else you can put a few drops of clove oil in a glass of warm water and drink it slowly to stop vomiting. Another way to use cloves during vomiting is to lick the powder of fried cloves mixed with honey.

Aniseed

Aniseed also helps a lot in the treatment of vomiting. Just by chewing a teaspoon of aniseed can give you much relief due to its medicinal properties. Else you can use aniseed to make a cup of herbal tea. Put half teaspoon of aniseed in half cup of boiling water. Steep for a few minutes and strain it before drinking it. You can also take roasted aniseed and sprinkle them on mild vegetables such as carrots or pumpkin before consuming them.

Cumin

Simply eat half tablespoon of grounded cumin seeds with water to get rid of vomiting. This is one of the best and easiest home remedies for vomiting. Else take one teaspoon cumin seeds and a pinch of nutmeg and add it to a cup of boiling water and steep for a few minutes. Later on strain the mixture and then drink it. Another way to treat vomiting is to add some cumin powder and cardamom powder to one teaspoon of honey and have it slowly. This will soon stop vomiting.

Milk

Milk can also be used to treat vomiting but you must not drink it alone. You can take milk along with some light and easy to digest snack such as soda crackers. Else you can always opt for milk toast which is easy to make and good for your stomach. To make this milk toast, first heat one cup milk until warm and put it in a bowl. Take one piece of toast, slightly buttered, and add it to the milk. Eat it slowly and soon you will get relief from vomiting.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon helps to treat nausea and at the same time vomiting. In a cup of boiling water, add half teaspoon cinnamon powder or one cinnamon stick and steep for a few minutes. Then strain the water and add a tablespoon of honey for sweetening before sipping it slowly. Have this solution at least two to three times a day and you will soon get relief from vomiting. However, this remedy is not good for pregnant ladies.
